Welcome to Veer Care Pvt. Ltd, hereafter referred to as Veer. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Veer mobile application (the “App”), the website located at https://veer.care/, and all associated services, including medical triage guidance and responder dispatch (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. Nature of the Platform (Intermediary Status)

Veer is a technology platform that facilitates the connection between users and independent medical professionals or responders.

  • Intermediary Role: In accordance with Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Veer acts solely as an intermediary.
  • Independent Contractors: The medical professionals (doctors, nurses, paramedics, or responders) providing guidance are independent practitioners. Veer does not provide medical advice itself; it provides the technology to access it. Clinical responsibility rests solely with the practitioner.

2. Description of Services

  • Urgent Medical Triage & Guidance: Real-time support via video/audio call to help users assess a health situation and determine the next steps.
  • Urgent Responder Dispatch: Deployment of a mobile responder to provide on-site stabilization and assistance while the user awaits further medical transport.
  • Training Programs: First aid and CPR certification programs provided by certified professionals.

3. Mandatory Medical Consent

By initiating a call on the App, you provide explicit and informed consent for a tele-consultation as per the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines (2020).

  • You acknowledge that a virtual consultation has inherent limitations (e.g., the lack of physical examination) and that the advice provided is based on the information you verbally or visually share.
  • If you are calling on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the legal guardian or have the authority to provide consent for said minor.

4. Critical Medical Disclaimer

Veer is NOT a replacement for State Emergency Services (102/108) or hospital ERs.

  • Our services are intended for Urgent Care and Triage.
  • In life-threatening situations (e.g., massive trauma, unconsciousness, suspected stroke), you must contact official government emergency services immediately. Veer acts as a bridge of support, not a final destination for emergency care.
  • You agree to the terms mentioned in Veer’s Medico Legal Disclaimer. Please read it carefully.

5. User Obligations & Eligibility

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide truthful and accurate details about the patient’s condition. Veer and its responders are not liable for outcomes resulting from withheld or incorrect information.
  • Authorized Use: You will use the App only for legitimate health needs and not for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Veer Care Pvt. Ltd. (Veer), its directors, and employees shall not be liable for:

  • Any clinical outcomes, diagnoses, or treatment decisions made by the independent practitioners.
  • Any delay in responder arrival due to traffic, weather, or other force majeure events.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App.
  • Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the platform is to cease using the Services.

7. Intellectual Property

All code, design, logos, and training materials are the exclusive property of Veer. No part of our platform may be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without our express written consent.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our medical partners.
